Owning a reactive dog can be emotionally taxing, embarrassing and even isolating. We can help!

A barking, growling, lunging dog might appear aggressive, but does not necessarily mean that it IS aggressive. A truly aggressive dog intends on doing harm, which is more rare. Essentially reactivity is dog displaying behaviour that is out of context for the situation. Reactive behaviour may be driven or motivated by an inherited trait, a product of the environment, a learned behaviour from a past negative experience(s) / trauma, or simply lack of early positive socialization.
