What Is K9 Nose Work®?

K9 Nose Work® is an activity for all dogs of every age, breed and ability, as well as for handlers of any age, or experience.

It is a fun, dog-driven sport that teams a dog and handler to search for odours.

This class is especially good for reactive and shy / fearful dogs, because only one dog searches in the room at a time offering a safe & controlled environment.
** Each dog does its' search individually, while others remain in the car.  Dog guardians must make their own provisions to account for warmer weather.

Trainer: Donna Toews, CPDT-KA, CNWI - Reflection Pet Services

Donna has been training dogs and their humans for many years. She brought the sport to Canada in 2011 by hosting the first National Association of Canine Scent Work trial. She qualified for certification in early 2012 . Her dog Edge and she, became the first International team outside the US to earn ELT-CH.  Donna is also a UKC Nose work® judge, and a licensed CKC Scent work Judge.

Location: Training Center - 305 Cedar Street,  New Westminster, BC
Cost - $250.00 plus tax

* Please make arrangements so you can attend all classes, as we are not able to offer make up classes.

** Should the weather be too hot for dogs to remain in vehicles between searches, we will make every effort to find an outdoor location to hold the class. You will be notified by email of any change in venue as soon as possible.
